Space Invader, Invasion of London 2016

Space Invader is the pseudonym of a well-known French urban artist whose work is modelled on the crude pixellation of 1970s-1980s 8-bit video games. He took his name from the 1978 arcade game Space Invaders, and much of his work is composed of square ceramic tiles inspired by video game characters.

The French street artist Invader has recently invaded london with twelve mosaics. This is his 18 wave to the capital, leaving 150 mosaics and earning London 3630 points!

His first invasion was back in 1999, when he placed his first London Mosaic

This time round the mosaics definitely had the Great British feel to them with mosaics of invaders drinking Tea on commercial street!

Our obsession with CCTV… Space Invader is watching us!

The Royal family, this one can be found on the Prince Charles Cinema, named Who is the King?

The not-so-Great British weather!! Umbrellas at the ready!!

Our love of public houses and a pint of beer…

Another invader can be found with a paint brush in his hands, above John Jones.

Thank you for the invasion of London Space Invader. Please come back again for more Royal antics…
