On the 5th & the 6th of June, GraffitiStreet was launched with a big bang, with over 450 people attending our big launch event.
From showcasing an eclectic mix of styles and genres within the urban art world, free booze and an old skool hip hop DJ who was scratching the surface, to live spray painting at Blackall Street at the back of our venue by English artists Mydog Sighs & Los Dave, Spanish graffiti artist duo Pichiavo, the Italian cubist Hunto and Norwegian Stencil artist La Staa. This event truly had it all angles covered.
It was an unforgettable experience for us and we also really hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
For those of you who sadly couldn’t make it we thought to showcase you some of the highlights from the event. We will be updating the picture gallery within this post over the next few days.
We would like to thank everyone for coming down, your responses since have been amazing too and we truly hope that we have been able to give you a little taster of what GraffitiStreet is about.
This is just the beginning and we are already working on our next projects.
A special thank you to Blackall Studios, our sponsors Far Rock Away Shoreditch for looking after us during the event with free meals and champagne, everybody we dealt with from the Shoreditch Art Wall, Mr. Frameman and his wonderful family run business, our friends at 247creative, Jealous Studio, Willow Corpe, all our artists for their hard work (Pichiavo, Pahnl, La Staa, Mydog Sighs, Bisser, Hunto, Bon, Nils Westergard), our friend and gallerist Frank Picazo from Monduber Gallery for his help with the gallery installation and his attention to detail, Dot Dot Dot & All Rights Destroyed for the charity donations and last but certainly not least our families and friends for supporting us during our journey as well as all the other lovely people we have met in our path.
A big THANK YOU and see you at our next event!
