The official ‘Pride’ banner for the borough of Hackney made by International artist Stik is to be sold at Christies auction house to raise funds for the LGBTQ+ charity.
The banner was paraded through London mounted on a London taxi at the 2016 ‘Pride is London’ parade and has been on loan to Hackney Museum, read more here.
“I was delighted to represent Hackney in the London Pride parade last year. Our vibrant and varied community is known around the world and I am proud to live here.” Stik
The banner was commissioned by Hackney council and was hand-stitched in heavy body flag cotton in collaboration with Flagmakers Ltd. One of the oldest flag makers in Britain who also make flags for The Queen of England!
Always thinking of others, Stik will be putting the two metre flag into Christies online auction to raise funds for Project Indigo, a charity who support young, vulnerable people from the LGBTQ+ community.
The banner will be on display at Christies King Street from 31st March and bidding will be online from 4th-13th April 2017.

A massive shout out to STIK who once again uses his art as a gain for others.
