Invader, the world-renowned French street artist, is set to launch a spectacular solo exhibition in Paris in February 2024 (17th February until 5th May 2024). The exhibition, entitled “Invader’s Space Station,” will be the largest-scale exhibition to date for the artist and a cosmic experience for visitors.

The exhibition will be held at 11 Rue Béranger, a unique building in the heart of the 3rd arrondissement. The location boasts stunning views of Paris from all floors and features an accessible panoramic terrace on the rooftop, which offers a 360° urban landscape.

The building’s modern aesthetic, exceptional heritage environment and generous volumes inherited from an industrial past make it the perfect setting for Invader’s exhibition. In a recent interview with Lauren Collins of “The New Yorker”, Invader comments that the exhibition “…will be like a mother ship, a starship“.

Invader, who has an obsession with space that can be seen in his work, plans to curate a total takeover of the thirty-seven-thousand-square-foot space over nine floors with several hundred works. The artist’s signature pixelated characters, inspired by the video game Space Invaders, will be installed on walls and other surfaces throughout the space.

The exhibition will also refresh a “Red, White and Black Space Invader” permanently installed in 2011 on the building’s rooftop terrace designed to be visible from the sky, paying homage to the cult video game.

Invader’s fascination with space extends beyond just the characters he creates. He sees it as a mental and artistic space where he can explore new ideas and forms. The exhibition will be a mind-blowing experience for visitors, transporting them to Invader’s Space Station and inviting them to explore the depths of his creative mind.

While there is still much that we don’t know about the exhibition, the details that have been revealed so far are incredibly exciting. Invader’s love for space and his pixelated characters, combined with the unique setting of 11 Rue Béranger, make for a truly one-of-a-kind exhibition that is not to be missed.
