The Look Up Festival in Portsmouth has once again united exceptional talent to turn the city’s streets into an open-air art gallery. A standout piece from this year’s event is the collaborative mural by renowned graffiti artists Sweet Toof and Rowdy.

SWEET TOOF
In the 80s and 90s, Sweet Toof established himself as a graffiti artist, drawing inspiration from Mexican Day of the Dead street art. His distinctive and bold ‘Teeth’ can be spotted throughout East London, quickly becoming his signature style.
Entitled “Backbone,” this vibrant mural injects life and energy into mundane spaces. Sweet Toof’s iconic pink gummy smile with a gold tooth are attached to the backbone. The use of bold lines and vibrant colours makes Sweet Toof’s contribution jump off on the walls of Clarence Street car park.

ROWDY
Rowdy became a vital figure in the Bristol graffiti scene in 1987, a position he continues to hold today. His art is scattered across Europe, popping up in unexpected locations, from secluded rural areas to bustling urban landscapes. Rowdy’s signature large-scale crocodiles reflect the playful essence of his artwork.
Rowdy’s addition to the mural is equally impressive, featuring his distinctive crocodile with its multiple fresh teeth chopping on some phalanges. The entire piece exudes dynamism and energy.
