Nean is a Belgian contemporary artist known for atmospheric murals that combine cinematic storytelling, natural forms and urban culture. His artist name derives from the French word néant, meaning “nothingness”, reflecting an early rejection of status, signatures and institutional expectations in favour of the work itself. Beginning with drawing before moving into graffiti, Nean developed a visual language shaped by raw emotion, surreal imagery and the rhythms of the natural world. As a founding member of the Kingdom crew, he explores both individual and collective creativity. Across large-scale public works, his murals transform city walls into reflective narratives where imagination, landscape and human experience converge.
