POSE, born Jordan Nickel, is an American contemporary artist based in Chicago, known for layered works that fuse graffiti, Pop Art, illustration, lettering and comic-book imagery. Beginning with graffiti at a young age, he developed a multidimensional studio practice spanning painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture and large-scale murals. His compositions combine bold colour, fragmented typography, found signs and cultural ephemera, creating surfaces that feel both chaotic and precisely constructed. Recent works also examine the histories of early New York and Philadelphia graffiti, referencing individual writers and archival material. Through this collision of street culture and contemporary art, POSE explores memory, identity and the visual overload of modern life
