The Bloop street art festival, Ibiza 2016 is coming!!!

The BLOOP Festival in Ibiza is getting ready for its 6th Edition. The one month cultural festival takes place from 16th July to 16th August 2016 and brings to Ibiza a cultural alternative to the Ibiza famed party scene. During the month-long celebration a hive of creative activity takes place including street art and all for free!

The BLOOP initiative is a long-term project to change the image of an entire city through arts and culture. This independent event that came to life in 2011 is growing year by year and in the last editions has had an average of 90,000 visitors.

BLOOP Festival is the first of its kind as it is entirely dedicated to proactive art. Every year there is an annual theme which artists from around the world base their aesthetics on. They are usually social issues that we can all relate to. At BLOOP spectators are encouraged by the artworks to “think” proactively on these issues = proactive art. This year’s theme is NO FEAR.

In the past the festival has welcomed names such as Martha Cooper, Interesni Kazki, Phlegm, Pineapple Crocodile, Isaac Cordal, Olek, Lo Spino, Digital Genetic Pasta, Montse Nadal, Freakatronic, Dario Rossi, Massimo Mazzone, Biancoshock, Marc Colomines, Xavi’ Labo and more.

Sunset hour music sessions mixed in with open air galleries are just some of the events within the eclectic program.

Program and artists announcement will follow shortly, so keep posted for more updates!
