The second annual, multi-city Street Art Festival UPEA has begun in Finland. UPEA17 has invited local and international artists, such as Guido van Helten, Fintan Magee, Apolo Torres & Pat Perry, Rustam Qbic, Jani Leinonen, Andrea Wan, Artez, Dulk, Eero Lampinen, Messy Desk, Millo, Onur, Ricky Lee Gordon, Roberto Ciredz, Smug, Telmo Miel, Vesod, Wasp Elder and many more … to paint twenty large scale murals in thirteen different Finnish cities.
Italian artist Millo is the first artist to paint a wall at Apaudenkatu 65 in Jyväskäla.
His mural entitled “Keep me” is about you being the only one who knows what is important for yourself.
“I painted this wall in Jyväskäla a small city 350 km North from Helsinki for Upea art festival. The city is sourrounded by an amazing nature, lakes and forests everywhere. I feel very inspired and I wanted to underline the relationship between small things and ourselves and how something that seems nothing could be everything.” Millo
UPEA is organised by the Finnish street art association Upeart ry. The festival started on Friday 1st of September and will finish by the end of September 2017.
