On October 10th, the day lace street artist Nespoon was scheduled to arrive in Florida for the Shine Festival in St. Petersburg, the area was struck by the strongest hurricane in its history. As the storm wreaked havoc, the festival was postponed, but the spirit of creativity and community remained unbroken.

After a month’s wait, Nespoon finally made her way to Florida and decided to channel the hurricane’s impact into her art. During her week-long stay, she witnessed the beauty and resilience of the region firsthand. Though the signs of the recent storm were minimal—mainly broken branches scattered across the streets—the warmth of the local community was ever-present.
