Description

In 2013, the world-renowned artistic duo Pichiavo unveiled their remarkable artwork “Aphrodite of Walls” to the public at our first group exhibition in Shoreditch, London. This piece was a significant milestone in their artistic journey, marking the perfect amalgamation of two contrasting art forms – graffiti and classical art.

“Aphrodite of Walls” is a unique piece that showcases Pichiavo’s exceptional talent and creativity. The artwork is a contemporary interpretation of the Greek goddess of Love and Lust, “Aphrodite”, characterised by its bold pink hues, intricate details, and a seamless fusion of traditional and graffiti elements. Adding to the uniqueness of the artwork is the use of collages pasted onto the canvas, a technique that Pichiavo adopted in their early career. This technique adds texture and complexity to the piece, making it rare and exceptional.

The painting represents Pichiavo’s exceptional skill in blending different art forms and styles into a coherent and beautiful piece.
