Description

In a heartwarming gesture of kindness and support for his local community during the pandemic and lockdown, Stik sent thousands of 50 cm squared prints of his Holding Hands artwork to every household in Hackney. The prints, distributed through the council’s publication, Hackney Today, commemorated Stik’s first public sculpture in Hoxton Square and were delivered to the distributor in September 2020 before being distributed to various estates across the borough. Stik’s artwork portrays two non-gender stick figures holding hands and looking in opposite directions, symbolising universal love and solidarity. Being a long-time resident of Hackney, the artist wanted to give back to his community and bring a smile to people’s faces during a challenging year.

These prints are available in Teal, Red, Orange, Yellow and Blue. You can find these and other artworks by Stik on the Graffiti Street Store here.
