PHLEGM
Renowned for his evocative illustrations, comics, and intricate murals, Phlegm, a street artist hailing from Wales and currently based in London, has received widespread acclaim. Emerging from the world of self-published comics, the pseudonym ‘Phlegm’ draws on ancient Greek medicine, symbolising an apathetic and unemotional temperament.

Phlegm’s artistic vision unfolds as a surreal tapestry, intricately weaving together an enigmatic narrative through imaginative creatures and otherworldly settings. His work exudes a captivating blend of childlike whimsy and subtle foreboding, often juxtaposed against urban backdrops adorned with castles and winding stairways. Additionally, Phlegm’s oeuvre features enigmatic, half-human, half-woodland beings seamlessly integrated into their metropolitan surroundings.
With a preference for monochrome, Phlegm’s masterful technique and meticulous attention to detail evoke a sense of wonder, akin to a cabinet of curiosities for the mind. His narrative extends globally and particularly in Sheffield, his adopted city, where a multitude of murals can be found. Notably, his exceptional exhibition “Mausoleum of the Giants” drew in over 12,000 visitors, offering a glimpse into a dreamscape life with oversized and enchanting sculptures.
