On 3rd February 2016, the Saatchi Gallery will open ‘XX: A Moment in Time’, an all female street artist exhibition, curated by Olly Walker and supported by Yasha Young, and will run alongside the major exhibition of contemporary art by female artists at Saatchi called ‘Champagne Life‘.
XX is an exhibition of new works by contemporary female street & graffiti artists. With no Y chromosomes allowed! The show will consist of works by a selection of emerging and established female artists from around the globe. XX seeks to inspire future generations of women artists and bridge the gap between the male dominated street art.
“The women exhibited here are pioneers within the world of street art; newcomers that have made their mark in countries all over the world and artists that have become part of the new urban contemporary movement.” Yasha Young Urban Nation
