DALeast is a Chinese-born contemporary artist based in Cape Town, South Africa, known for large-scale murals that appear to be formed from thousands of fragmented metal shards. His dynamic animal figures and abstract compositions create a striking illusion of movement, depth and three-dimensional form. Working across painting, drawing and public art, DALeast explores energy, transformation and the relationship between living bodies and their environments. His murals have appeared internationally, including in Cape Town, London, Miami, New York and cities across China.
