Steve Lazarides is a British photographer, curator and gallerist known for his early collaboration with Banksy. Between 1997 and 2009, he worked as the artist’s photographer, agent and close collaborator, documenting the creation and emergence of some of Banksy’s most significant street works. His archive of more than 12,000 photographs preserves a formative period in British street-art history, including many interventions that have since disappeared. Beyond their documentary value, Lazarides’s images capture the atmosphere, risk and immediacy surrounding Banksy’s rise. His photographs offer rare first-hand insight into the development of a cultural phenomenon that reshaped contemporary art.
